With the continued growth of the Internet (now the third largest media!) targeting becomes increasingly vital. There are a number of ways we can group audiences so that you can target your ideal market.

Research suggests consumers spend 25% more time fixating on ads that are personally relevant to them. Click here for full the full article on MediaPost.

In the spotlight today, Behavioural Targeting, RWC Sponsorship and HHS opportunities;
Targeting

Behavioural Targeting

Behavioral Targeting helps you reach people who’ve read key content articles, searched for particular keywords or come from a certain type of Internet domain – e.g. from a fortune 500 company. This technology helps us target 45 categories such as business decision makers, motoring enthusiasts or people interested in photography.  Contact your Sales rep for a full list of segments.

RWC

Even if you have been living under a rock you will know the RWC is fast approaching and we have lots of great sponsorship opportunities for you and your clients, once again offering highly targeted packages. We’ve had a lot of interest so if you have a well-suited brand contact us now before inventory dries up.

Female Household Shoppers

If you want to reach women in charge of shopping, then you’ve come to the right place! We’ve got more than 1,132,363 UBs (Source: Nielsen Market Intelligence, Domestic Traffic, March 2011) ladies interested in seeing your beauty, health and lifestyle products, across contextually relevant sites such as NZ Woman’s Weekly, Foodlovers or BT to specific articles, search terms and site content across a range of high quality websites.

SITE UPDATES

BBC

BBC continues to go gangbusters with our biggest month ever in March, 897,666 UBs (Source Nielsen Market Intelligence, Domestic Traffic, March 2011). Not only is the site rich in content and a high performer, it also has both a fantastic Mobile site and iPhone / iPad apps that continually exceed expectations.Targeting

NZ Listener

If you have been on the NZ Listener lately you would have noticed the dramatic change from informed and intelligent, yet a bit clumsy to smart, savvy, stylish and slick – the ideal site. If you haven’t already take a look and get your brands on this hot property before it is snapped up.

Get Frank

Not that it was a necessity, but the guys at GetFrank like to keep things fresh, so they have gone and had a facelift. The already good-looking and functional site now, quite frankly, looks even better! The key being moderation, a few tweaks to the layout, navigation and colour with the same great content. Plus coming soon, the sister site Chelsey.co.nz!

NEW HUBSTERS

We would like to welcome aboard the adhub team: Sam Collins, Brad Macdonald, Nadia Keane and Megan Smith as a part of our quest for (digital in NZ) world domination.

Sam joins us from a brief entrepreneurial sojourn in the property management business. Before that he was a planner at DraftFCB and comes to us with much adulation and regret from his peers at Draft.

Brad has a fantastic background in both digital and traditional media having worked for Total in Wellington and Carat here in AK. He’s coming to us to further feed his passion for all things digital and he’ll bring much lauded experience in campaign strategy from brand engagement through to customer purchase across all media touch-points.

Nadia Keane joins us from a temp role at APN Online. Before that she spent some time traveling around France and Italy on a 44 metre super yacht and before that she trafficked for NZ Girl. Nadia brings a solid working knowledge of trafficking and most importantly – the worlds newest adserving system – AIMatch!

Megan Smith joins us from the APN credit control team in the winterless north. Before credit control she worked as a Project Manager for a software development company, she’s also worked in recruitment in Sydney and brings a host of organisational skills to our busy ad-opps team.

Brad and Sam join our sales team and Nadia and Megan our Ad Ops.  I’m sure you will hear from one or two of them shortly, but rest assured you are in very capable hands!

Until next time,
The adhub team
